search engine and web portal. It's highly
profitable, unlike most internet companies!
I use a significant portion of the profits to fund
Nupedia. I believe in the Nupedia project as a
new kind of resource that will change the world.
My dream is to have a freely distributable
encyclopedia to spread reason and peace throughout
the world. If that sounds melodramatic to you,
then an idealistic project like this one is
probably not for you. :-)

His areas of specialization are Epistemology and
Early Modern Philosophy, particularly Descartes,
Hume, and Reid (though he studies widely
in various philosophical subdisciplines). His
dissertation is titled Epistemic Circularity:
An Essay on the Problem of
Meta-Justification. He is an avid Irish
style fiddle player and concentrates mainly on
the Donegal style of fiddle playing.
