    Editor-in-chief of Nupedia.com. Ph.D. Philosophy, 2000, Ohio State University. His areas of specialization are Epistemology and Early Modern Philosophy, particularly Descartes, Hume, and Reid (though he studies widely in various philosophical subdisciplines). His dissertation is titled Epistemic Circularity: An Essay on the Problem of Meta-Justification. He is an avid Irish style fiddle player and concentrates mainly on the Donegal style of fiddle playing.

Author of the books El compromiso esencialista de la logica modal (1984), La renovacion pragmatista de la filosofia analitica (1994), El taller de la filosofia (1999), as well as a good amount of papers on philosophy of language, history of analytic philosophy, American philosophy, Peirce and pragmatism. Interested in the dialogue (or, more accurately, the appaling lack thereof) between science and religion.   • David Spurrett (PR) -- David Spurrett is Lecturer in Philosophy at University of Natal, Durban (South Africa). His Ph.D. in philosophy, from Natal, was completed in 1999. He is the author of a number of papers in the philosophy of science, and on physicalism. Additional research interests, besides philosophy of science and physicalism, include cognitive science and seventeenth century natural philosophy.
