music and its composers.  His passions outside of 
music include astronomy, crossword puzzles and 
fine art, among other things.  He is the creator 
of The Living Composers Project (2000), an online 
database now holding information on 600+ 
contemporary composers and since 2002, has been a 
repertoire advisor to the Studio for New Music in 
New York.  His compositions, few in number, were 
performed Germany and the UK in 2002.

Joseph Brumbeloe (PR)
 --  holds a Ph.D. in music theory

Indiana University,
and currently teaches at the University of
Southern Mississippi.  His

literature of the 18th century,

Susanne Dunlap (PR)
 -- Susanne Dunlap received her PhD in music history 
from Yale University in 1999, and was a visiting 
assistant professor at Columbia University for 
the 1999-2000 academic year. She has an article 
forthcoming in the journal Women and 
Music, "Susanna and the Male Gaze: the Musical 
Iconography of a Baroque Heroine," and has 
written radio programs and Web articles about

Suzanne Summerville (PR)
 -- Suzanne Summerville, mezzo-soprano and conductor, 
received her Dr. phil. in Historical Musicology 
from Berlin's Freie Universität. As a singer, she 
was a member the Studio der deutschen Oper Berlin 
and Houston Grand Opera and has given recitals in 
many European and American cities and has recorded 
for the CBC, BBC, RIAS, SFB, Radio Leipzig, and 
the Norwegian Radio.She retired from the 
University of Alaska Fairbanks as Professor of 
Music and Women's Studies. Her CDs include Songs 
of Fanny Hensel, Edward MacDowell, and Adelbert 
von Chamisso. She has written for several 
international encyclopedias and is currently 
editing "North to the Future: A History of Music 
in Alaska.
