Ted joined MUSICMATCH in October 1999. He has
held a variety of positions in both industry and
academic research and software development. Prior
to his work at MUSICMATCH, Ted was Chief
Scientist for the Internet division of HNC
Software where he was responsible for developing
advanced algorithms for analyzing human behavior
on the Internet and for understanding text. At
MUSICMATCH, Ted has been responsible for the
design and implementation of the community driven
matching engine that underlies the
personalization capabilities of the MUSICMATCH
Guide and Radio products.
Ted received a BS in electrical engineering from
the University of Colorado, a MSc in computer
science from New Mexico State University for work
on time-sharing SIMD parallel computers and a PhD
from the University of Sheffield for work in
computational linguistics and genomic informatics.
Paul Howland (PR)
